APPEL PARK

Public BBQ

APPEL PARK transforms a simple riverside setting into something quite special for outdoor dining enthusiasts. This compact BBQ area sits along the waterfront where the Nerang River curves through Surfers Paradise, offering barbecue facilities with convenient toilet access nearby. The location captures the essence of Australian waterside leisure - families gather around the grills while swans glide past and ferries churn up gentle wakes in the distance. Sunset timing proves particularly rewarding, as the western light catches the water and creates an unexpectedly atmospheric backdrop for evening barbecues. The park's modest size keeps things intimate rather than overwhelming, making it an understated choice for those seeking a barbecue experience that feels more connected to the Gold Coast's natural waterways than its tourist attractions.
