ANTHONY BEALE RESERVE

Public BBQ

Anthony Beale Reserve in Greensborough packs serious entertainment across its sprawling grounds. The playground features two flying foxes, an unusual hamster wheel (a wooden cylinder you can jog inside), climbing nets, swings, slides, and fake shops that keep kids occupied for hours. The sandpit includes a water spout for messy play. The reserve covers two football ovals doubling as cricket grounds, with the lower oval allowing dogs off-leash. Dog owners appreciate provided waste bags and grass that doesn't turn muddy in winter. Exercise equipment suits adults wanting outdoor fitness. Electric BBQs and drinking taps make this practical for gatherings. Equipment is notably wheelchair accessible, including an adapted roundabout and sandpit. The location stays quiet being set back from main roads. The main issue is toilet access. While there's a facility at the football clubrooms, it's not reliably open during playground visits.
