ALICE SPRINGS DESERT PARK

Public BBQ

The Alice Springs Desert Park proved to be one of those rare attractions that exceeds expectations at every turn. Arriving early for the 10:30 bird show was absolutely essential – the presentation was captivating, with staff clearly passionate about their work. The nocturnal tour revealed a completely different world, showcasing creatures most visitors never glimpse during daylight hours. The walking paths wind through meticulously maintained enclosures against a stunning mountain backdrop, while the eagle encounters left everyone mesmerised. The dingo displays were particularly engaging, and the staff's enthusiasm was genuinely infectious. The aquarium provided a refreshing contrast, and those owl photo opportunities created lasting memories. With quality food available and events like the Festival of Lights, this deserves a full day.
