ALEXANDRA PARK

Public BBQ

A narrow ribbon of parkland along the Yarra just outside Melbourne's CBD, with the city skyline on one side and the river on the other. Free electric barbecues sit right beside the water along the path, shaded by the trees, which makes this one of the better spots in the inner city for a group to gather. The Main Yarra Trail runs through it, and you can walk or run as far as suits before crossing one of the bridges and coming back along the opposite bank. AAMI Park is close by. It is a fine place for a stroll at any hour, and the view of the towers is the reason most people come.
