AK LINES RESERVE

Public BBQ

This Watsonia reserve features a large football oval surrounded by walking paths popular with early morning exercisers. Watch out for ducks crossing the tracks. Kids can work off energy at the playground while adults lap the perimeter. Toilets are available, which families appreciate. The oval's playing surface gets mixed reviews from footballers who've noted uneven patches that can create problems during games. Dog walkers use the space regularly, though not everyone picks up after their pets, so keep an eye on young children playing on the grass. Maintenance issues aside, the reserve's size and facilities make it a solid choice for families wanting outdoor space.
