About Vincent BBQ Facilities

City of Vincent maintains 15 parks with BBQ facilities including Hyde Park (inner-city park with lake), Robertson Park, Smiths Lake Reserve, Woodville Reserve, and Warndoolier (formerly Banks Reserve, riverside with BBQs and nature playground).

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Vincent?

During Total Fire Bans in Western Australia:

  • Gas BBQs with enclosed flames are permitted (clear 5m around BBQ)
  • Electric BBQs are permitted
  • Solid fuel BBQs (charcoal, wood, Weber-style) are prohibited

Can I book a BBQ facility for exclusive use?

Many green spaces can be hired for community events and birthday parties. Designated areas can be booked for approved events.

Spaces within Hyde Park are available for hire.

How do I report a fault or issue with a BBQ facility?

If you encounter issues with a BBQ facility, please report them to Vincent. Common issues include:

  • BBQ not working - not heating, ignition problems, gas issues
  • Damaged facilities - broken hotplates, damaged tables/shelters
  • Safety hazards - exposed wiring, structural damage
  • Cleanliness issues - excessive grease buildup, vandalism
