The City of Swan has over 100 parks, facilities and venues for hire. Parks with BBQ facilities include Lilac Hill Park (Swan Valley gateway), Altone Park (lakeside), Fishmarket Reserve, and Maguire Park.

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Swan?

<p>During <strong>Total Fire Bans</strong> in Western Australia:</p><ul><li><strong>Gas BBQs</strong> with enclosed flames are permitted (clear 5m around BBQ)</li><li><strong>Electric BBQs</strong> are permitted</li><li><strong>Solid fuel BBQs</strong> (charcoal, wood, Weber-style) are <strong>prohibited</strong></li></ul><p>Check fire bans at <a href="https://www.emergency.wa.gov.au/total-fire-bans">Emergency WA</a> or call 1800 709 355.</p>

How do I report a fault or issue with a BBQ facility?

If you encounter issues with a BBQ facility, please report them to Swan. Common issues include:

  • BBQ not working - not heating, ignition problems, gas issues
  • Damaged facilities - broken hotplates, damaged tables/shelters
  • Safety hazards - exposed wiring, structural damage
  • Cleanliness issues - excessive grease buildup, vandalism
