About Kwinana BBQ Facilities

City of Kwinana has BBQ facilities at The Patio at Kwinana Adventure Park (covered space with kitchenette, fridge, BBQs, seats up to 40), Sloan's Reserve (2 electric BBQs, 4 picnic tables), Wandi Hall Reserve, and Apex Rotary Park.

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Kwinana?

During Total Fire Bans in Western Australia:

  • Gas BBQs with enclosed flames are permitted (clear 5m around BBQ)
  • Electric BBQs are permitted
  • Solid fuel BBQs (charcoal, wood, Weber-style) are prohibited

Can I book a BBQ facility for exclusive use?

The Patio: Available for 3-hour timeslots only. Book via SpacetoCo. Bookings accepted up to 365 days in advance.

Ideal for birthday parties, family catch-ups, playgroup meetups.

Most park BBQs are first-come, first-served - contact Council for larger events.

How do I report a fault or issue with a BBQ facility?

If you encounter issues with a BBQ facility, please report them to Kwinana. Common issues include:

  • BBQ not working - not heating, ignition problems, gas issues
  • Damaged facilities - broken hotplates, damaged tables/shelters
  • Safety hazards - exposed wiring, structural damage
  • Cleanliness issues - excessive grease buildup, vandalism
