About Launceston BBQ Facilities

The City of Launceston is home to more than 148 beautiful parks, gardens, recreation areas and playgrounds. Parks with BBQ facilities include St Leonards Picnic Ground (riverside recreation), Heritage Forest (play space with flying fox), and Royal Park (Tamar River waterfront).

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Launceston?

<p>BYO BBQs are subject to Tasmania Fire Service restrictions.</p><p><strong>During Total Fire Ban:</strong> Only electric and gas BBQs permitted. Solid fuel BBQs (charcoal, wood) are banned.</p><p>Check fire restrictions at <a href="https://www.fire.tas.gov.au">fire.tas.gov.au</a>.</p>

Can I book a BBQ facility for exclusive use?
