About Clarence BBQ Facilities

Clarence City Council provides free electric BBQs at multiple locations including Cremorne Beach Reserve, Montagu Bay Reserve, Clifton Beach Park, Opossum Bay Park, Geilston Bay Recreation Area, Wentworth Park, and Epping Play Park. All BBQs are free and first-come, first-served.

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Clarence?

<p>BBQs used solely for cooking/heating are <strong>exempt</strong> from backyard burning restrictions.</p><p>Check Tasmania Fire Service for current fire bans: <strong>03 6173 2740</strong> or <a href="https://www.fire.tas.gov.au">fire.tas.gov.au</a></p><p>Bushland reserves close when a Total Fire Ban is declared.</p>

Can I book a BBQ facility for exclusive use?

<p>Public BBQ facilities in Clarence are <strong>first-come, first-served</strong> and cannot be booked.</p><p>For events on council land (1,000+ attendees require 3 months notice), submit application at least <strong>8 weeks</strong> before event date.</p><p>Requirements: $20 million public liability insurance, risk assessment, food business registration.</p><p><strong>Note:</strong> Inflatable devices (jumping castles) are prohibited on council land.</p>
