City of Prospect has BBQs at Broadview Sports and Recreation Precinct (Yarnta Tutu yarta), which also offers fitness equipment, tennis clubs, oval, bowling club, and dedicated dog park.
Portable BBQs permitted subject to fire restrictions.
During Total Fire Ban days, only gas/electric BBQs are permitted.
Private outdoor events with under 50 people and minimal infrastructure don't require formal approval.
