Public BBQ Rules & Facilities
City of Onkaparinga has BBQs at Simpson Reserve, Wilfred Taylor Reserve, Thalassa Park, and Riverbend Park. Many parks also offer playgrounds, walking trails, and picnic areas.
Check fire restrictions before using portable BBQs. During Total Fire Ban days, charcoal and wood-fired BBQs are banned.
Gas/electric BBQs are generally permitted during fire bans.
BBQs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For events requiring infrastructure or exclusive use, contact Council for permit requirements.
Request a service or report an issue relating to parks, park furniture, irrigation, vegetation, play equipment, or trails through the online service request portal.
