About Brisbane BBQ Facilities

Brisbane City Council provides free electric and gas BBQ facilities in parks across the city. BBQs are available for public use on a shared basis.

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Brisbane?

<p>During <strong>Local Fire Bans</strong> in Queensland:</p><ul><li><strong>Gas and electric BBQs</strong> are permitted</li><li><strong>Charcoal, wood-fired and heat bead BBQs</strong> are prohibited</li></ul><p>Check the <a href="https://www.fire.qld.gov.au/safety-education/using-fire-outdoors/fire-bans-and-restrictions">Queensland Fire Department website</a> for current fire bans.</p>

Can I book a BBQ facility for exclusive use?

<p><strong>You cannot book barbecues exclusively.</strong> You must share BBQ facilities with other park visitors.</p><p>You can book designated park sites (rotundas, specific areas with power) but these bookings do not include exclusive BBQ access.</p><p>Minimum booking length is 2 hours. Sites are generally available 8am-7pm daily.</p><p>Religious, welfare and not-for-profit community organisations are exempt from park use fees.</p>

<p>Report BBQ faults via:</p><ul><li><strong>Online:</strong> Use the Report an Issue form</li><li><strong>SMS/MMS:</strong> Send photo and location to 0429 234 948</li><li><strong>Phone:</strong> 07 3403 8888 (24/7)</li></ul><p>You'll receive a reference number to track your report.</p>
