City of Parramatta has 14 BBQs at Parramatta Park alone, all free of charge. The council manages over 300 parks across the region.

Can I bring my own BBQ to parks in Parramatta?

<p><strong>Portable BBQs with legs</strong> (not sitting directly on grass) are permitted, except during Total Fire Ban days.</p><p><strong>Important:</strong></p><ul><li>Hot coals and oil must be taken with you - no dumping</li><li>Open fires are prohibited</li></ul>

Can I book a BBQ facility for exclusive use?

<p>BBQs operate on a <strong>first-come, first-served</strong> basis for small gatherings.</p><p>At Parramatta Park, 7 shelters are bookable. Gawi and Mana Shelter bookings are required if you plan to erect structures or engage service providers.</p>

How do I report a fault or issue with a BBQ facility?

If you encounter issues with a BBQ facility, please report them to Parramatta. Common issues include:

  • BBQ not working - not heating, ignition problems, gas issues
  • Damaged facilities - broken hotplates, damaged tables/shelters
  • Safety hazards - exposed wiring, structural damage
  • Cleanliness issues - excessive grease buildup, vandalism
