Public BBQ Rules & Facilities
Blacktown has 70+ electric BBQs in Western Sydney Parklands, all free and first-come-first-served. Nurragingy Reserve features wood-fired BBQs with council-supplied firewood.
Gas BBQs are welcome.
At Lizard Log and Bungarribee: Heat-bead and charcoal BBQs must use designated BBQ stations on concrete platforms. Dispose of waste in provided bins.
During Total Fire Ban: Electric BBQs only.
BBQs are first-come, first-served.
For larger events, contact council on 9839 6000.
If you encounter issues with a BBQ facility, please report them to Blacktown. Common issues include:
