FRANK ELLIS RESERVE

Public BBQ

Nestled alongside the Barwon River inlet, this park offers an engaging playground on a sand base featuring a pirate ship setup with slides, tunnels, monkey bars, a climbing frame, and swings. The park caters to both young and older children, with imaginative play areas and plenty of equipment. With the bonus of being adjacent to a calm, shallow beach that's perfect for swimming and crab searching, it's an ideal location for family outings. Families can also enjoy picnic tables, benches, and some shady spots. Other amenities include a toilet block and a local ice cream vendor selling delightful flavors like chocolate and salted caramel. However, vigilance is required due to the absence of fences towards the beach and roads. Despite its charm, some visitors have complained about occasional unpleasant smells, presumably from the water.
