Yarra Bend Park is a versatile and popular park offering a wide range of activities for visitors. With trails, meadows, bushland, a river, a golf course (both big and mini!) and cricket oval, there is something for everyone. It has been praised for its scenic views, family-friendly atmosphere, and recreational options. Visitors have noted the park is a great place for BBQs, picnics, and gatherings, with several public BBQs available. The park is also known for its boating opportunities and is home to a unique flying fox (fruit bat) colony. Many off-leash areas are available for dogs, and there are nearby attractions like Dight's Falls and Collingwood Zoo. Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Yarra council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
