CANELAND PARK

Public BBQ

The park is a popular destination for families with its scenic views, clean grounds, and fun kids' play areas. It boasts of excellent facilities such as BBQs, picnic tables, and ample parking. A highlight is the free swimming area which includes a shaded water playground, water slide, and paddle pool, suitable for all ages. Lifeguards are always on duty, ensuring safety. However, the cafe and kiosk hours could be inconsistent, only offering a limited selection of cold drinks and ice creams. Some visitors found the bathrooms needing improvements. Despite these, visitors continue to appreciate the park's value - free entry, and its close proximity to a major shopping center and Mackay's city center.
