BUNDABERG BOTANIC GARDENS

Public BBQ

The gardens are a tranquil oasis, brimming with lush botanicals, enchanting Japanese and Chinese gardens, and three stunning lakes. The playground is well-equipped and caters to children of all ages, with an age-progressive design. The on-site café offers a delightful array of food, perfect for refuelling after exploring the area. Nestled within the park are the Burt Hinkler museum and the Fairymead house, both rich with local history and aviation intrigue. The small steam train that encircles the twin lakes adds a touch of charm, taking visitors through a mini subtropical forest. Wildlife is abundant here, with a myriad of bird species, turtles, and even eels spotted in the lake. Despite the park's size and a sometimes challenging BBQ hunt (The BBQs are reportedly located near the north entrance near playground), it's an ideal spot for a relaxing day out.
