VIETNAM VETS PARK

Public BBQ

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Walk is a reflective and respectful space that honors the servicemen who fought and died in the Vietnam War. Located near the river mouth, it offers beautiful sights, a serene atmosphere, and an opportunity for visitors to learn about the battles fought. The memorial features seventeen plaques on plinths, one for each Tasmanian serviceman who died in the war. It is also close to the Long Tan Cross Memorial. The area has covered electric BBQs, making it a great place to enjoy a meal, and is well-lit at night. Nearby, visitors can find a fishing spot, toilet facilities, and parking. The memorial serves as a reminder of the human toll of wars and the importance of learning from them to prevent future conflicts.
