PIONEER PARK

Public BBQ

This park offers a unique and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. It features the 'Maid of Sker,' a real ship with a fascinating local history, and a photo museum and tourist information center. The park provides a great space for various events, including Anzac Day dawn service, carols, and fireworks. The park is family-friendly, with a playground for children to enjoy. However, there may be times when certain areas, like the big ship, are closed off. Facilities include public restrooms, picnic tables, and barbecue grills, with suggestions for adding more outdoor seating and umbrellas for shade. Visitors can also bring their dogs to cool off in the river, making it a pleasant destination for pet owners. The park is becoming increasingly popular, and it serves as an excellent location for local events and gatherings.
