NOBBYS BEACH

Public BBQ

Nobby's Beach in Port Macquarie offers an idyllic setting for beachgoers and pet owners. As a popular spot for dogs, it's frequented by locals and tourists alike, featuring an off-leash area that's a hit with canine companions. There's also a small car park, and larger vehicles are advised to park at the top due to the narrow drive. The beach itself can be a bit rough, but there are secluded spots for young kids. Additionally, there's a small hike up a hill behind the beach, which provides an excellent vantage point. A note of caution - there are many boulders, which might pose a risk for swimmers or surfers. Adjacent to this, John Downes Park offers a family-friendly setting complete with a children's playground and a lovely place for picnics. The park overlooks the ocean and is within walking distance to the lighthouse, offering remarkable photo opportunities.
