BARNEY POINT

Public BBQ

Barney Point Beach is a serene location, perfect for a family outing. This clean, quiet spot offers ample space for children to play and run around. It boasts a netted area for safe swimming, protecting visitors from jellyfish and other sea creatures. The beach is especially enjoyable at high tide, making it a great place for a relaxed walk, although it may not stand out for its surf or water clarity. The area is equipped with numerous well-maintained BBQ and picnic facilities, perfect for a casual lunch or a family gathering. There's also a playground for the younger ones, making it a haven for family enjoyment. However, visitors should be aware of the occasional strong winds and potential for mosquitos during dusk. The area is also not very pet-friendly. Despite a few negative remarks about the beach, many visitors have fond memories of the place, some coming back after decades.
